The Walk About Training Reins is designed to give you more control over your dog when wearing a harness with front and rear D-ring. The two leash attachments clip to the front chest & back D-rings of your dog harness to help you redirect your dog’s pulling. These leash attachments adjust from 14 to 20 inches (36 to 52 centimeters) to accommodate most medium to large pets. This multifunctional leash can be used four different ways: (1) two control point lead, (2) double dog leash, (3) single four-foot leash, or (4) detach the handle to use as a 9-inch short leash. Reins include a comfortable padded handle, double sided polyester webbing, and swivel leash clips to keep you adventures tangle free. Recommended for use with Kurgo’s 2 D-ring harnesses (not included). To use the reins as a loose leash walking training tool, first make sure your dog is wearing a harness with a front and rear clip. Clip the rein with an adjustment slide to the front clip, and the other rein to the rear D-ring. When you’re ready to walk, hold the reins so your dog has enough length to walk at your side but not enough to pull far ahead. As soon as you as you feel tension on the reins, redirect your dog to a position beside you. You can also circle or change direction to get your dog back at your side.
